Discrimination to the Windows Phone as a user
Looking at the current market where the trend has gone, its been almost a half a decade or more since the Nokia name has faded away with the decision of them for not stepping into market along with the fellow competitors.
If anyone can take back your memories for nearly half a decade ago, it was Nokia the name which came firstly to your mind, when you speak about a mobile device, like now we talk about Apple, Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Nexus.
There are different perspective about this by various in the society, but majority do believe that the cause for loosing their name (aka reputation in this instance), which was rocking the market for more than decades was because their decision towards not stepping into Android for their OS, instead of the Symbian(s60) and Java(s40) OS series which were there in their phones.
During the era when nokia was ruling the market, Samsung did release many devices with extra-ordinary features to compete with Nokia, like the V200, X600, E700, which comparatively hit the market, but never couldn't take the place for Nokia due to its innovative skills, which kept 'Connecting People'. Their own N series was a the greatest example for it, where most the devices help a unique benchmark in the industry. Even the Motorala released a E-Seires and a Clambshell V Series, which got famous in the market, but never became a competitor to Nokia.
With the decision Nokia took, their competitors became a a real competitor and a winner by taking their OS to Google's Androir, while Nokia was sticking to their own Symbian. With the realization of how the Nokia market went down within few year, and after loosing their name which they hold for many years in market, they joined their hands with Microsoft to take their Nokia OS as Windows Phone, which is one of the smoothest OS in the market, though it still havent hit or has became a real competitor. One major reason is becuase the freelance developers in the industry. Why i say because most target developing on Andorid and iOS first, and lastly only they think of developing for Windows Phone.
