#theAmazingTweetup

The “#theAmazingTweetup” was an event created for the Sri Lankan Tweeps which organized by Dialog Axiata along with the Spider Man 3D launch in Majestic Platinum Cinema. This precious event got opened for a only selected number of tweeps.

Out of the hundreds of registrations which came for the #theAmazingTweetup via tweeter accounts, selected number of tweeps got selected after a week, and was announced by @dialoglk few days prior to the event.

The selected number of tweeps was announced by @dialoglk by sending them a Direct Message via twitter with a unique QR Code for each person, where we all had to submit it near the entrance.

Though i got couple of minutes late to walk in since they have announced to be there by 7pm for the 7.30 show, since as a tradition they do some  photo clicking sessions and some other fun filled items, i managed to reach their by 7:15pm which is almost 15mins late, and there was a hell a lot of tweeps and known faces around, which gave me a thrill to meet them all after a time.

As we collected the ticket and the 3D pair of glasses from the counter by proceeding the QR code, dialog tweeted our presence on event via tweeter while tagging our tweet-tag.

then the first thing what we noticed was that apart from the entry corner to tear off from the doors, there was a 150Rs refreshment voucher, where all could enjoy a popcorn with a bottle of coke, portello.

after collecting the refreshments, everyone who were their didn’t forget to pose for a picture, since their was a professional cameraman from CeylonToday newspaper.

then after the movie when all the tweeps were walking out form cinema, Majestic City almost dark as never scene before.

but still the tweeps didn’t bother about it to have chit chats near the entracne about the movie , their tweeting life and laa di daaa di daaaaa….

Welcome to the #theAmazingTweetup registration portal. Please enter your details below to be a part of our very special screening of the Amazing Spider-Man at the newly upgraded Majestic Platinum Cinema on July 21, from 7pm to 10pm.

Please note that it's going to be more than just a movie-screening; so, make sure you arrive at the premises with at least half an hour to spare. You may even dress for the occasion, if you're feeling adventurous. Those of you who were there at #tweepsAssemble will know what we're talking about. Except that it's going to be very, very different this time.
